Travel to school
Planning your school travel is easy. There are a range of safe transport options to get to our school. Check our location map, driving details and public transport options to help make the journey to school safe and easy.
Location map
We are located at Simpson Ave, NSW 2477 Wollongbar.
Use School Finder to confirm if you live in our local intake area.
Riding Bicycles or Scooters
Parents and carers must be confident that children know and can apply the rules of the road before allowing them to ride their bicycle or scooter to school. Approved helmets must be worn. Bicycles and scooters are to be placed in the bicycle racks at the rear of the Office.
It is recommended that K-2 students do not ride a bike or scooter to school unless accompanied by an adult.
Catching a bus
If your child travels by school bus:
- always encourage your child to show good manners to the driver and passengers.
- do not hesitate to speak to the driver or contact the bus company if any need arises. The safety of all children is their main concern.

Apply for a travel pass
Eligible students can get a free travel pass under the School Student Transport Scheme. Apply for a travel pass today.
Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones
- follow speed signs
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school
Parents and carers are not to park in school entrances or use the staff car park when dropping off or collecting children.
There is a Bus zone in the front of the school. Our Bus zone operates between 8.00am – 9:30am and 2:30pm – 4.00pm. Parents are not to park there during operational times. Increased fines and/or demerit points apply for these offences when committed in a school zone. See school zone offences list.
Afternoon dismissal
Collecting your child at 3.15pm? Make sure your child knows which gate you will meet them at before school to limit confusion or concern, e.g. Back Gate, Oval Gate or Front Gate. Parents and carers entering or exiting the school for collection at 3.15pm are asked to leave via the top gate closest to the Office. For the sake of student safety never walk through the bus lines or car park.
If crossing the road, please use the crossing with teacher supervision. Do not cross in front of buses or cars. Students catching the bus will line up in their bus lines in the walkway near our canteen awaiting teacher direction to buses. Students attending After School Care meet at the Hall (unless advised elsewhere).
