A year at our school
Moving Up Ceremony
At the start of the year, students at Wollongbar Public School celebrate moving up a grade. Our Year 6 students create a tunnel for Kindergarten to Year 5 students to walk through as they move from one grade to another. Our Moving Up Ceremony is a celebration of belonging, a new year of learning and meeting their new teacher!
Year 6 Tunnel
As our Year 6 leaders prepare themselves for their last moments at Wollongbar Public School, we celebrate their achievements and wish them well by creating a tunnel of students from Kindergarten to Year 5. Year 6 students ring our old school bell before moving through the tunnel of Wollongbar students. This is a tradition that we continue to celebrate every year.
